Helsinki Contemporary is pleased to announce the representation of Berlin-based artist and curator Olli Piippo (b. 1980). Piippo bases his work on images that are both personal and found, true and generated by the imagination and memory. These are mixed together in the paintings, which play organically with representational and non-representational elements. Piippo participated in a joint exhibition Guilty Pleasure with Swedish artist Lukas Göthman at Helsinki Contemporary in August 2016.

The exhibition Black Market, curated by Olli Piippo and artist Marcus Eek, opens on September 15 and runs through October 27, 2016 at the Finnish Institute in Berlin. Along with Piippo and Eek, the exhibition Pleasure Principles features works from Hannaleena Heiska.
