Marlon Wobst
Marlon Wobst
Marlon Wobst (b. 1980 in Wiesbaden) graduated with a master’s in painting from Universität der Künste Berlin in 2011 with Prof. Robert Lucander. In his body of work, which entails oils, felt tapestries, ceramics, and works on paper, he addresses the human existence and everyday moments: getting dressed, exercising, eating, resting or mating. His large-scale paintings, colorful felt works and rather small, intimate ceramics all offers glimpses into his, but also our shared experiences, rituals and habits.
His works have been shown internationally in galleries, museums and institutions such as Kunstverein Siegen (Siegen), Kunsthal Charlottenborg (Copenhagen), Kunsthalle Hangelar (Sankt Augustin), Galerie Maria Lund, Paris, Galerie Zeller van Almsick (Vienna). From 2021 to 2024, Marlon Wobst has had a lectureship for painting at the Universität der Künste Berlin.
