The traditional Young Artists show opens the upcoming Saturday. Artist Rauha Mäkilä, as head of the jury, has together with student representatives Kati Roover and Kasperi Mäki-Reinikka chosen 24 artists and one artist group among 340 applicants. According to Mäkilä, the exhibition shows a diversity of how young artists see our world today and how they choose to picture it.
The Young Artists show has launched in 1939 and presents new works by artists under the age of 35. It is organised by the Artists’ Association of Finland.
The exhibition is open 28.11.2015–3.1.2016.
