EMAP 2016, the 9th Ewha International Media Art Presentation, is an open-air sound and moving image festival arranged at Ewha Womans University Campus in Seoul, South Korea. At the festival some of the finest Korean artists working with sound and moving image meet a rich selection of established and young international artists. Among these artists are Tuomas A. Laitinen and Hans Rosenström.
This years edition is called S.O.S. Save Our Souls – art for a time of urgencies and is a response to a number of crisis of our time. It reflects on the possibility of art and for artists to be agents of change and resistance. Pontus Kyander has acted Curatorial Director for the festival.
The festival is organised 24 May – 29 May.
