This spring Helsinki Contemporary is happy to welcome two new team members.

Virpi Vaittinen started at the end of February as a Gallery Manager. In this role, she oversees the gallery's daily operations, including exhibitions and events, sales, and the cataloging of artworks. With a diverse professional background spanning business consulting, internationalisation, and futures and innovations, Virpi brings a wealth of experience to her current position. Having earned an MA in Fashion, Virpi has supplemented her education with minor studies in futures research. She is currently engaged in online coursework focused on curation, further enriching her expertise in the art field. The gallery manager position is a fixed-term parental leave coverage.

Jaakko Uoti joined us at the end of March as the gallery’s Communications Manager. Jaakko oversees the gallery’s communications and press relations. Jaakko has long experience of working in communications and administrative tasks in the domain of the arts.
