Kemper Museum of Contemporary Art in Kansas City, Missouri presents recent paintings by artists who were born in or who currently live and work in Finland in the group exhibition Dark Days, Bright Nights: Contemporary Paintings from Finland. This exhibition explores the space between waking and sleeping in a country known for its of dark winters, but also 24 hours of sun during the summer. The exhibition is curated by the museum director, Barbara O’Brien. Rauha Mäkilä is one of the thirteen artists featured in the exhibition.

 

The exhibition is open 2nd October 2015 - 21st February 2016.
