Helsinki Art Museum offers a glimpse of The Heino Art Foundation’s collection of contemporary art, one of Finlands’s foremost, in the exhibition From Heino With Love that opens on Thursday 7 April 2016. The exhibition presents an overview of Finnish contemporary artists, including Pekka Jylhä, Jukka Korkeila and Henry Wuorila-Stenberg, with a total of 100 artworks.
The foundation was established to promote art and safeguard the collection of contemporary art built by Raimo and Raini Heino and their son Rauli Heino over several decades. The collection includes 1416 artworks by 223 artists, the works dated from the 1950’s to the present.
The exhibition is open 8.4.–28.8.2016.
