The Pro Artibus Foundation has elected Heidi Lampenius (b. 1977) and Ida Koitila (b. 1983) as the new Snäcksund fellowship artists. Lampenius and Koitila move to Villa Snäcksund near Tammisaari, Finland in January 2017 to live and work for three years in close collaboration with the Pro Artibus Foundation. Congratulations to both artists for the selection!

Heidi Lampenius works with acrylic and ink in her large-scale abstract paintings. The starting point of her art is often found in nature, memory and vision. She utilizes varying techniques and gives every little detail its special meaning in the process. Lampenius graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Helsinki in 2011. She has participated in group exhibitions in Finland, Sweden, Singapore, Iceland, Taiwan and Italy. Her latest solo exhibitions were seen in Gallery Sinne in 2014 and Huuto Gallery in 2015, both in Helsinki. The works of Lampenius are represented in the collections of e.g. Pro Artibus, Piippo and Fränti collections. Her next solo exhibition will be seen in Helsinki Contemporary in November 2016.
