Hans Rosenström in "Summation" at Felleshus in Berlin
25.10.2024
Hans Rosenström's new site-specific sound installation “Once Apart” is exhibited in “Summation”, a group show at Felleshus in Berlin. The exhibition is on view until January 19, 2025.
"Summation" features work by ten leading Nordic artists, including Ragnar Kjartansson, A. K. Dolven and Jeppe Hein. The group exhibition marks the 25th anniversary of the joint Nordic embassy complex Felleshus in Berlin. “Summation” features work by artists who address the interplay between individuality and community. Alongside explorations of human nature, temporality, memory, and emotion, it invites viewers to reflect upon their own place in the world.
In Hans Rosenström’s “Once Apart”, sound resonates through the translucent material of plexiglass sheets, alternating between bird-like whistles and a human voice, moving from one to the other and blending into an overtone that merges both.
