A discussion with Henry Wuorila-Stenberg is arranged at Helsinki Contemporary 7 May, 5 - 6.30 pm. Henry Wuorila-Stenberg, Tuula Karjalainen, art historian, and Mika Hannula are participating in the discussion.
The starting point of the talk is Henry Wuorila-Stenberg’s self-biography Hämärän näkijä (Like 2013). The book offers a unique view of Wuorila-Stenberg’s career and the possibilities and changes in painting during different decades. It combines a personal view with the impact and significance of the surrounding society in an open and sensitive way, which brings forth the historic layers and the freedom and obligations of the everyday.
