Maria Chevska

Maria Chevska (b. 1948, London) was Professor in painting at Ruskin School of Art at the Oxford University in 1991–2016. Her solo exhibition was showcased in Kalhama & Piippo Contemporary in 2008. Chevska’s visual art practice that incorporates painting, sculpture and installation often engage with literature and writers. Trough the synergy of idea, material and process Chevska embodies the unseen. She has participated in exhibitions since the 1990’s in e.g. the UK, Ireland, Finland, France, Italy, Poland and the US.
